Travel Team

The League sponsors a highly competitive Travel Team. There is a rotating membership of about 25 players currently from 8-10 teams. Email travelteam@riwsl.org if you are interested in participating.

 

Tournaments:

 Fairfax Women's Soccer Association has hosted the Pine Ridge Tournament for 21 years and is seeking to expand their reach, inviting out-of-state women’s leagues to participate.

Tournament details: June 25-26, 2011, Fairfax, VA

Divisions (both rec and comp):18+, 30+, 40+, 50+
Format: 11v11
Prizes for 1st and 2nd (not trophies)

 Kick for a Cause, Wallingford, CT (annually - late July)
This is an outdoor soccer tournament for over-30, over-40, and over-50 teams. The tournament typically takes place the last week of July in Wallingford, Connecticut and raises money for a local charity. More information can be found on their website: www.kfac.org

Players can send an email (please specify age group) to travelteam@riwsl.org if interested. Registration fee is about $30.00 per player plus hotel expenses. Several of the local hotels do hold a block of rooms with discounted rates specifically for this tournament.
